Description

This Authentic Antique Chinese Cabinet is known as "Wedding Cabinet" in China. The cabinet is crafted in elegant Ming style furniture with simple and straight lines. All the frames of the cabinet are carved with one single plank of wood. Relief carvings of traditional "scrolls" design decorate the front apron. The two front doors are made with a wooden hinge (traditional workmanship for furniture making in China) and can be easily removed. The copper hardware is uniquely crafted into the "moon" design. The cabinet is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. The cabinet is hand-painted in orange-red color. Made from the core of Elmwood, the cabinet is very solid and kept in excellent condition. Circa early of 19th century. Original wear and patina.
