Description
This antique Chinese occasional table was originally made as a low-legged study desk. The table is handcrafted in elegant Ming style with "Horse Hoof" legs and straight lines. There is a "secret compartment" underneath the three drawers (the place for storing valuables in the old days.) The unique hardware is made of copper. The table is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and a tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. The table is perfect for a coffee, TV stand, or many other uses. (the back of the table is in excellent condition) Circa the early 19th century. Made from Elmwood with beautiful wood grain, the cabinet is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition. Original patina and wear.Size: W34" x D20.25" x H19.5"
