  • Condition: As is typical with many of the antique Chinese pieces, where applicable some of the hardware may have been replaced. There is general wear, and may be some shrinkage and age cracks that is typical for a piece this old, especially considering the climate difference. We feel these flaws add to the character of the piece and are preferable to replacement during restoration, Sometimes it is necessary to repair or replace certain components of the furniture, but that is typically done with antique wood. We try to be as clear as possible in the photos attached, however we are limited in the number of photos we can include, so it may not be possible to show every detail.     Antique Chinese 50 inch Wide Scroll Foot Altar table Desk, 20" Deep, 33" Tall.
    This is an unusual style Altar table that has a flush panel top. The end panels are solid and the table is rounded over where the top connects to the end panels.
    The front side has a beautiful relief carved apron the runs under the top and then continues down the front of the end panels, tapering slightly as it goes downward. At the bottom the carving is a scroll design. The carvings include dragon heads and a pattern called dragon eyes.
    The back side of the table has similar design to the front, but it does not have the relief carvings.
    The antique Chinese table has most of it’s original brown lacquer.
    This piece would make an unusual desk when paired with one of our antique Chinese chairs. (as seen in one of the photos, Chair NOT included). As this piece is taller than a typical desk, please check you seat height  and knee clearances if you plan on using it as a desk with your own chair.
